We rarely if ever post previews so with that being said, you know this track is going to be BIG!
Afrojack brings us back to ‘Take Over Control’ and leaves us with a track that doesn’t make us want to rip our ears off. Not too bleepy, beautiful vocals and mega drops will no doubt launch this into the sets of anyone with a pulse.
Do you remember the Ambassador Beats webisodes? If you do you might remember one particular week where I asked The Conductor what Dirty Dutch was. I’m pretty sure he explained it and I pretended to get it, but I really still have no idea what it is.
Well The Music Ninja just posted a Dutch mashup done by Chuckie, who I have heard The Conductor talk about before as well. I am extremely out of my element and normally wouldn’t even take the time to listen to this, but because it was a Kanye West and Jay-Z mix I felt obligated.
Let me be the first to tell you that this song ROCKS. It takes the chorus from Niggas In Paris off Watch The Throne and Satisfaction by Benny Benassi. Chuckie mixes and mashes them together into something completely different. Listen to the track below and download it if you love it as much as I do.
This one will definitely be making the rounds across the intraweb and we had to contribute in spreading the good word. I’m not a big afrojack fan but Moguai takes this one up a few notches. Progressive, techy with the characteristic bleeps and bloops from Afrojack this one is stinkier than a duck fart… get it while its hot
I think it’s safe to say that R3hab has carved out his spot in the upper eschalon of dj/producers in the electronic music industry. Over the past year the dutchman has teamed up with fellow countrymen Afrojack, Hardwell and Chuckie and has released a very respectable repertoire of original mixes and remixes including ‘bottle song‘, ‘prutataaa‘ and ‘drunk tonight‘. To add to his growing list of hits is the newest cut from the Champagne Showers remix pack which also features Sidney Samson, Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike. You can download the R3hab remix below and be sure to grab the other FREE tunes released from the man himself.
Today I will officially be a graduate from the University of Windsor and will leave with a Masters degree in Social Work. With that being said, I don’t see my recent transition from student to professional changing my life all that much. I will still party, live on a budget, eat 5 cent candies and slushies from 7/11 and most importantly, I will continue to bring you quality electronic music on a steady basis.
For anyone out there taking the plunge into the ‘real world’, throw on this track and keep living the dream.
Paul David and the Burner Records crew are on a mission to destroy dance floors world wide… wide… wide. If I had to judge I would say Mission Accomplished. But for those of you who haven’t heard already, here is your chance.
It’s tough to categorize Paul David’s productions as they contain so many elements of different genres and subgenres of electronic music. You will hear electro, house, techno, trance, dirty dutch etc. But really what he brings is straight up high energy dance music. I’m talking fist in the air feet off the ground type of shit.
Paul David recently released on EP titled ‘Sunset Electric’ and you can preview and purchase it here
Check out these four tunes plus the upcoming Barletta + Paul David collaboration- The Trust and head over to Burner-Records.com for the all the goods.
Ahhhh yess i’ve been waiting for this full quality version to drop and today is the day! Afrojack manages to make the Ian Carey x Snoop Dogg collaboration work with a little bit of dutch flavour. If you’re turned off from the stereotypical dutch house/repetitive high pitch bleepy synths business, then you will be satisfied with the lower/bassier sound of this one. Buy the original ‘Last Night’
Can’t say enough good things about these guys so I will let the music do the talking this time. Paul David just dropped this absolutely insane track that brings 110% energy from start to finish and a Burner Records EP is set to drop on February 17th!! We will keep you posted
Woohoo this is going to be a wild ride through some of the biggest tunes of the past month. Xmas holidays has led to minimal action on the site so i’ve sifted through the best new releases that have not yet been featured on Ambassador Beats. Buckle up for one hell of a journey through the land of mashups, electro/house, dnb, dubstep and hip hop. All in all we have over 30 tunes (almost all downloadable) for your listening pleasure!
Also called Dirty Dutch, this sub-genre of House music originated in the Netherlands from the unique sounds of Chuckie, Afrojack, Alvaro and Sidney Samson (to name a few). The distinct repetitive and high pitched synths common in Dutch house were a major hit at WMC 2010 and have led the way for a major dutch movement throughout the house scene.
I detested the dirty dutch upon first listen but it along with dubstep have grown on me throughout the past year. My pick for best track goes to Afrojack for his monster- ‘Take Over Control’. My pick for breakout dj/producer definitely goes to Chuckie as he has been responsible for bringing this genre into the limelight with some big time remixes including the one below.
Deadmau5 and Beatport announced the winner of the ‘Sofi Needs A Ladder’ remix competition and I am happy to say that it was won by Vancouver native MosDam. After reaching the top 10, the contest finalists submitted a 30 minute mix to demonstrate their skills on the decks. Both the mix and remix were taken into consideration and the winner was announced on Nov. 26th. Ambassador Beats has been a fan of MosDam since he dropped the Deadmau5- ‘Some Chords’ remix 4 months back. His winning remix will be signed to Mau5trap Recordings and he will have a chance to open up for Deadmau5 at an upcoming gig.
Hit the jump for some of the top 10 tracks as well as a few of my favourites that didn’t make the cut.
Henry Steinway, aka Clockwork has been infiltrating the intra web with dirty electro beats and heavy hitting remixes for the past year. He came onto my radar when he dropped a mashup of Lil’ Wayne vs. The Office theme song (see below) and since then I have been continually impressed with the diversity in his music as you will see from the following tracks. Check out his newest remix which will be released on Guys & Dolls Records, December 6th… this one is MASSIVE!! Get connected with Clockwork on:

Although this was one of the best Webisodes yet, we unfortunately will not be able to post the recording this week. The Conductor and I went through and recorded an hour worth of amazing commentary along with our top 10 favourite tracks of the week, only to discover that one of the mic’s we were using was cutting in and out throughout the entire recording.
We are not about to post something we aren’t happy with so unfortunately you will never get to hear about my wonderful dancing, or The Conductor attempt to sing a Sean Paul song. I promise you that we will not have this issue again and you can expect us to make up for it next week.
Until then listen to the set list we put together for this weeks webisode and click Read More to see the tracklist.
The ‘official’ unofficial video for Like A G6 dropped (see above) and wow I am impressed. Forget about the scantily clad women, the club scene and dudes poppin’ bottles. If you’re not at the point of pulling out your hair when you hear this track then hit the jump for an array of remixes to this crowd pleasing tune including some dubstep, dirty dutch and mashups.
Big things happening out of Toronto, Ontario coming from Burner Records. Paul David & Barletta have single handedly launched this label into the forefront of Canadian electronic music and they have a solid supporting cast consisting of Overwerk, ETC! ETC!, Neon Glow & Easy. This label is throwing down one dance floor filler after another with no foreseeable end or limits. This is what makes me proud to be a Canuck. Head over to Burner Records for more goods.
