Give It Away (Psymbionic Remix) – Red Hot Chili Peppers

11 Nov

Got something new for you today as Psymbionic has thrown a new twist on a classic Red Hot Chili Peppers tune.

This track comes off Psymbionics new Illusions EP which is supposed to be released on December 13th by Made In Glitch.

Psymbionic throws a drumstep beat and some glitches to mix this track up. I really like what he has done here and can’t wait to see what else is on the EP. You can stream the track below and download the song as well as the instrumental of the track on Psymbionic’s Bandcamp page.

Skrillex- San Diego VIP (Nothing Yet) + Re:generation

22 Oct

This is not new or even the full version but rather a high quality cut of the previously titled ‘Nothing Yet’. Skrilly is wreaking havoc across North America right now with his mothership tour fully loaded with a strong supporting cast (Steve Duda, Dillon Francis, 12th Planet etc.) and an unreal stage setup.

And on the side he has found time to join forces with Pretty Lights, Mark Ronson, Dj Premiere, Nas and The Doors for a genre blending collaboration called Re:Generation. Watch the trailer HERE and download San Diego VIP below.

Kaskade & Adam K- Raining (Remix Competition)

30 Sep

Remix competitions are a beautiful thing. An open venue for aspiring producers to showcase their talents to popular artists and in this case, arguably two of EDM’s best producers.

Kaskade & Adam K have announced PIXL as the winner of the competition and his remix will be released on Ultra Records in the near future. Narrowing it down to the finalist would have been a major task with all the amazing submissions. Hit the jump to hear my favourites for runner up and download them all FOR FREE!

Two New Conrank Song Snippets

18 Sep

ConRank is back with a brand new forthcoming EP on Simma Records and he has just released two song snippets.

We get roughly 1 minute previews of the title track, You Heard of Us and Verbaliser ft. Mc Zulu. Both are outstanding drumstep tracks that have got me super psyched for this EP.

Check out You Heard of Us and Verbaliser below and check back for the EP release in the next few weeks. Enjoy.

Double Tiger ConRank Drumstep Remix

17 Aug

It feels like only yesterday that I was telling you how excited I was about ConRank’s Charlie Messed Up remix… Well today is a new day, and a new reason to be excited.

Last night ConRank uploaded his new Drumstep Remix of the Double Tiger track by Soul Fire. This song is set to be released by Hydra Records in the near future.

I am really starting to get into dubstep and drum step music. It seems like every song I hear I like a little more than the last. I am excited to see what else comes as the genres increase. Stream the new song below.

Snippet of ConRank’s Remix of Charlie Messed Up

15 Aug

I brought you ConRank’s free Next Step EP last month and today he just released a snippet of a remix he did for a Jordan & Santero track. ConRank throws some filthy effects on Charlie Messed Up and has me desperately wanting to hear the rest of the track. It is set to be released on October 14th via Top Billin Records. Until then you can listen to the snippet below.

ConRank Next Step FREE EP

11 Jul

I think it is apparent that The Conductor is the major contributor of electronic music for Ambassador Beats, but every once in a while I’ll find something that I really like and want to share, even if I know little to nothing about it.

This was the case with the Dada Life post and now once again with this ConRank post. I remember The Conductor playing a ConRank song on The Rinse once and when I saw this new Next Step EP I thought I’d give it a chance.

Well the 4 track Next Step EP blew me away. With drumstep making waves, I think this EP is the perfect introduction to the genre for those who have not been exposed to it.

It has the very distinct drumstep rhythmic lines, but isn’t too hard or overbearing that would scare the occasional listener away. Check out the EP below and download it free.

If you haven’t noticed we are really diving into this Hip Hop/Dubstep combination here at Ambassador Beats. I really feel that both genres compliment each other and the heavy bass is a perfect addition to any rap song. I put together a mix of my favourite dubstep/hip hop tracks of the past year and was going to drop this around New Years but somehow forgot about it in the midst of getting our upcoming mixtape off the ground. Here it is, 11 songs in 21 minutes and is a direct continuation of Hip Hop Heavies Vol.1

Stay tuned for news about our mixtape and CD Release party. If you live in the Windsor/Detroit area you are going to want to be there because we will be rounding up some of the hottest acts in the area. Big things to come in 2011!!

Ftampa + Big Fish Recordings

19 Jan

There is some serious heat rising up from Brazil and it comes in the form of Electro House. There is a distinctive sound that is becoming very popular in the electronic music industry and the only way I can describe it is like this… melodic but glitchy, euphoric but at the same time distorted, soothing vocals accompanied by pulsing synths and random sounds and noises tossed in for good measure. All in all it satisfies a lot of different tastes and always leaves the crowd begging for more.

There is a purpose for this rant and that is to segway into introducing you to the newest ‘big thing’ to come out of Brazil and to be released on Vancouver’s Big Fish Recordings. Ftampa just dropped his Who I Am EP and every single track is outstanding. Also, with releases already from Lazy Rich, Chrizz Luvly, Cool Project and Porter Robinson, Big Fish Recordings is shaping up to be the label to look out for in 2011. Preview all these tunes and grab the FREE Ftampa remix of Three Six Mafia- ‘Feel It’ below.
