Earthquakey People – Steve Aoki feat. Rivers Cuomo (Andrew W.K. Trash Remix)

23 Nov

A couple weeks ago we brought you  the Dillon Francis remix of Earthquakey People, a new track from Steve Aoki which features Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo. It received quite a good reception, but Andrew W.K. has give the track the remix treatment to show how a little tweaking can change the entire feeling of a song.

You probably wouldn’t even recognize the original song other than perhaps the chorus. Steve Aoki is almost completely removed from the track all together in the Trash Remix. But strangely I am completely ok with that.

Check out the Andrew W.K. Trash Remix below and let us know what you think about which version you like better.

Too Numb – New The Streets Song/Video

30 Nov

I first heard The Streets many years ago when I went through my own personal British Invasion. Trying to snap up everything and anything I could on the British music scene.

Fast forward almost five years and The Streets is still releasing new material, although this may be the last album we can expect from him. Computers and Blues is expected to be released on Febuary 7th and is said to be the last record Mike Skinner will put out, at least under the name The Streets.

I’ve got two videos for you today. One is his new song Too Numb off his newest album, and the song that made me a fan, Dry Your Eyes Mate. Enjoy.

Bedroom Beats

3 Aug

As you can probably tell by my previous posts, I tend to organize the shit out of music. If you are like me and find that separating music by genres isnt enough, then you can probably relate to creating playlists for certain times of the day and for specific activities. Crusin’ Tunes, Camping Classics, Pregame Beats… the list goes on. And this is what brings me to today’s post. Spending time with that special someone is much better accompanied by a solid soundtrack. For many, the slow jams are best saved for the bedroom. Here are a few new tunes to add to the playlist and some oldies for good measure. Comment on Baby Armie’s track for a free download.
