Following the career of The Dirty Tees has been one of the cooler backseat experiences I’ve had since starting this blog.
The guys have always been super talented and as their releases increased people started to take notice. Originally hailing from Oakville, Ontario the duo produced a remix of Natasha Bedingfield’s ‘Touch’ among other things in their first year. The track led to huge internet buzz and the songstress reached out to the guys. Suddenly they found themselves flying out to LA to work on some tracks with her and pursue a full time career in music.
Flash forward a year and they are on the verge of taking things to the next level. A win in the Beyoncé remix competition would really help and with your vote we can make this happen.
Listen to their remix below and if you’re feeling it, go Vote and watch as one of Canada’s most exciting acts blows up.
Holy shit have you heard of Delta Heavy??? Me neither… until today.
They took Nero’s ‘Must Be The Feeling’ and tazered it with 5000 volts of pure bass and glitchy dubstep. The UK duo categorize their music under Drum n Bass/House/Dubstep but this remix is something out of this world. A distinct disco vibe mixed with some moombahton? Whatever it is it’s f*cking AWESOME!
Wrapping up the best tracks of 2011 hasn’t been easy. Over the past 12 months thousands of tracks were released in varying styles and with the popularity of genre blending, categorizing them has been a daunting task.
After revealing our Best Of’s Trance, Dubstep, House, Prog House, Electro, Tech House & Mashups we decided to highlight some of the tracks that just missed the cut.
For the sake of this ‘Best Of’ series and my sanity, we have picked our favourite tracks of 2011 based on genres categorized by Beatport. With that being said, our picks are purely based on personal taste and they give remixes the same weight as an original track.
After Charlie Darker came out of obscurity to release ‘Vader’ (see below) I was an instant fan. The dubstep collab with Toronto MC- Dante Leon will easily make it on the ‘best of 2011’ list and be remembered for years to come.
With that being said, Charlie has unleashed a new track. Calling it a fusion between electro, moombahton and dubstep, ‘Deadroll’ is another stepping stone in Charlie’s bright future. And after hitting the 1,000 Facebook Likes it can be YOURS to listen to non-stop.
Hit him up on Facebook and make sure you grab ‘Vader’ below!

Paul David continues to ravage the electronic music scene with FREE tunes, and ‘Stylin’ just came to my attention today. This time around Paul crosses over into his Moombahton mode for a refreshing pump up jam filled with an oldschool feel and vocals.
If you haven’t already hit him up on Soundcloud and Facebook. And props to Paul David for representing Ambassdor Beats on that laptop!
Moombahton has been one of the fastest growing genres since dubstep took OVER the world in recent years. If you’re new to Moombahton then this is a great documentary to familiarize yourself with the founder- Dave Nada and its worldwide domination.
Dillon Francis and Diplo teamed up to release the Que Que Remix EP out next Tuesday and we have a track off that EP for you today. The five song EP is the same Que Que track remixed by 4 different producers.
Alvaro, Toy Selectach, Mahesa Utara & Dipha Barus Remix and Torro Torro all contribue to this EP and we have the Torro Torro song for you to preview.
This is a Moombahton tune, and although I’m not completely sure what it is, I do love the song so check it out and let us know what you think.

I was selfishly going to let the Nero remix slide by but after Dillon Francis threw his mix up on Soundcloud today I knew it was a sign.
If you’ve been in the dark let me catch you up to speed. Calvin Harris is set to release ‘Feel So Close’ on August 21st. Nero, Benny Benassi and Dillon Francis are headlining the remix pack and all three remixes bring a fresh feel to the original. Nero’s raunchy dubstep face melter takes the cake for me and you can d/l that track below.
As for Dillon Francis, he is helping spread Moombahton faster than the plague and you can PREVIEW his ‘big room moombahton’ remix via Soundcloud.
DJ Benzi has been hinting at this one for the past week so I’m pumped that its finally here. Sunscreen is 45 minutes of pure hits that is perfect for sitting poolside.
It features everything from hip-hop to classic rap and even a little moonbahton! So you can throw this on for your next BBQ and there is something for everyone.
You can stream and download the mixtape below and click on Read More to check out the full track list. The mix is 45 minutes straight and not split up into individual tracks so its already ready for your Itunes library, enjoy.
Dr. Dre has followed Eminem’s lead in pushing the new Chrysler 300s. This is good news for the Detroit auto industry and for Chrysler drivers alike. I am a big Beats by Dre advocate and if these speakers sound anything like the head phones then were all in for a treat. Check out the latest add from the Dr. and grab these delectable bass heavy tunes below. And please, listen to these on some respectable speakers… hint hint
