Download A Free Escape The Fate Cragga Remix

19 Oct

In my younger darker years when my entire wardrobe consisted of black hoodies and band shirts, I regularly listened to Escape The Fate. I kind of grew out of those band shirts along with Escape The Fate but I still enjoy listening to their back catalogue when the mood is right.

Today I came across a Cragga Remix of Gorgeous Nightmare which is a track off their new self titled album. The remix is amazing but is more electro then screamo for my liking, but I guess thats why it is a remix.

The band is offering this track as a free download so you can check it out below and Click Here to head to their website to surrender your date of birth and email address for the download link. It’s well worth it.

Adele – Someone Like You (Mikael Weermets Remix) *Preview

18 Oct

The original never stood a chance. As soon as Adele released this gem and eager pop radio stations got their dirty little hands on it and played it a million times a day it was over. But Mikael Weermets saves us with a progressive banger to set the night off. This is one of many crowd pleasers from Weermets and you check out more on his Facebook.

And in the meantime… check out this chilled out mashup from Mashup Germany. Find plenty more free tunes from him on Soundcloud

Kaskade & Adam K- Raining (Remix Competition)

30 Sep

Remix competitions are a beautiful thing. An open venue for aspiring producers to showcase their talents to popular artists and in this case, arguably two of EDM’s best producers.

Kaskade & Adam K have announced PIXL as the winner of the competition and his remix will be released on Ultra Records in the near future. Narrowing it down to the finalist would have been a major task with all the amazing submissions. Hit the jump to hear my favourites for runner up and download them all FOR FREE!

Xaphoon Jones Remixes Grouplove’s Colours

13 Sep

When Xaphoon Jones remixes something, you listen, that is just a generally accepted rule.

He just released his Mega Edit Remix of Colours by Grouplove. The song sounds great with its electronic breaks and repetitive snare beat. Also the guitars from the original track have been replaced with a piano which I actually like a lot better.

Stream the track below and download it while it is still offered as a free download. You won’t be disappointed and you can impress your friends with a brand new Xaphoon track.

Kendrick Lamar Hops On DJ Reflex’s Remix of Foster The People

8 Sep

It was just the other day I was talking about only listening to Foster The People when someone does a remix of one of their songs. Well that happened once again today when Illroots posted the DJ Reflex remix of Pumped Up Kicks.

This remix features some vocals from Kendrick Lamar and it works extremely well. Now I’m not too familiar with a lot of Kendrick Lamar’s stuff but I am liking what I am hearing. Plus Ambassador Beats favourite Azad Right recently played a show with Lamar.

Stream and download DJ Reflex’s remix below and let us know what you think.

BRKFST Radio Episode 1: Elie’s Kitchen

3 Sep

This is apparently new Xaphoon Jones stuff but I really don’t know anything about it. Xaphoon retweeted something from @adamitkoff saying that this is an exclusive BRKFST Radio Episode 1. Other than that all I really know is that there is 69 minutes of music that has been mashed up and mixed together and it sounds outstanding.

You need to download this for yourself to really understand the greatness. Stream and download BRKFST Radio Episode 1 Elie’s Kitchen below and find out what it is for yourself.

Delorean Remix Glasser’s Treasury Of We

22 Aug

I first wrote about Delorean almost a year ago after noticing there remixes all over

Well today after going through the Ambassador Beats twitter feed I saw that Stereogum posted a brand new Delorean remix of Glasser’s Treasury Of We.

It kind of sounds like a 90’s disco dance song mixed with a Marky Mark sample and I can’t explain why but I can’t get enough of it! Check out the track below along with a free download link.

Metric Are Back In The Studio

15 Aug

Metric tweeted earlier that they are back in the studio today which is outstanding. They have really evolved and continue to produce outstanding Canadian rock and roll.

But the Fantasies Flashbacks Project may be one of the best things they have ever done. A while back Metric put out the word to all aspiring remixers that they were looking to put together a fan-made remix album. The response was outstanding and they received an incredible amount of quality remixes.

The album will be released later this year and is currently on sale. All proceeds from this album are going to the Centre For Addiction and Mental Health. So if you have the means pre-order the album here and get some great music while helping a great cause.

If you can’t wait till later this year to hear some of the remixes, you can click here to head to the Metric Media Player to listen to some of the remixes.

Snippet of ConRank’s Remix of Charlie Messed Up

15 Aug

I brought you ConRank’s free Next Step EP last month and today he just released a snippet of a remix he did for a Jordan & Santero track. ConRank throws some filthy effects on Charlie Messed Up and has me desperately wanting to hear the rest of the track. It is set to be released on October 14th via Top Billin Records. Until then you can listen to the snippet below.

Live Forever Remix EP – Shad and Dallas

2 Aug

Back in January Shad and Dallas released their Two Song Ep which featured Live Forever and the Listen Remix. Fast forward seven months and the duo are back with the Live Forever Remix EP.

This EP stems from a contest Shad and Dallas held a few months ago asking for people to take their Live Forever track and give a personal spin to it. Four remixes rose the ranks and made the exclusive EP.

You can buy this EP on iTunes, its definitely worth it. To get a taste of what is on the EP, check out the Kitchen Party and Joose remixes below.

Diplo Remixed Mavado

19 Jul

Mavado is a Jamaican musician/actor/DJ/producer that I have never heard of, BUT Diplo just remixed his track Delilah. Maybe I missed the boat because it has over 8000 plays in one day, but I’m not worried.

Seeing as how I didn’t hear the original I can’t speak to it, but this remix is really good. If The Rinse was still on the air (and I wish it was) I would bring this song to the table to play.

Diplo often amazes me because of the range of music he works on. I learned that because of his wonderful Blackberry commercial that also taught me that BBM has allowed him to gain a closer relationship with artists. Anyways, check out Delilah by Mavado below and pick it up on Itunes if you feel so inclined.

Bombay Bicycle Club Remix Their Own Single – Shuffle

12 Jul

Bombay Bicycle Club released Shuffle, the first single from their new album A Different Kind of Fix a couple weeks ago, but today lead vocalist Jack Steadman released a remix of their single.

The chilled out remix is great and I love the idea of a lead singer taking their own music and throwing a new spin on it. I’ve been a big fan of Bombay Bicycle Club for a while and this tune has me really excited for the album release next month.

Check out the Jack Steadman Shuffle remix below.

Nicki Minaj – The Unreleased Tracks Mixtape

11 Jul

Think what you want about Nicki Minaj, but she has taken over. Her raps are hard and she has proven that she can hold her own with some of the heavy weights in the rap game.

I really liked Pink Friday and when I saw this mixtape I immediately jumped at it. This mixtape features 30 songs/remixes that didn’t make Pink Friday or any bonus material that was released on Itunes but a lot of the songs are awesome. The Single Ladies freeverse is outstanding, but don’t just take my word for it, go get it now from Datpiff.

When You’ve Got Music – Chiddy Bang

24 May

Chiddy Bang are dropping the Peanut Butter and Swelly Mixtape this friday and the first leak just dropped. When You’ve Got Music is the first track to drop and is features samples drawn from The Knocks but is classic Chiddy Bang.

Xaphoon tosses his electronic drum lines while Chiddy has a rap that is a bit slowed down from prior Chiddy Bang material. Peanut Butter and Swelly is probably the last release before Chiddy Bang drop their new album, so expect a few songs from the full length on this mixtape.

You can stream the song and download it below. Enjoy
